Congratulations and thank you, Dr. Smith, for your commitment to empowering existing educators, supporting educators new to the teaching profession, and for your dedication to educating young people for the last 28 years!
At the end of the year school luncheon at Griffin High in Griffin Georgia, Dr. Marye Smith was named 2018-2019 Teacher of The Year. As if that was not enough to attest to her success as an outstanding teacher, she was also named the 2018-2019 Most Outstanding Department Staff Member for the English Department. Her next step is to compete for the district-wide Teacher of the Year, and then, Georgia Teacher of the Year.
